- Supplied As: These trees are supplied as “bare roots” meaning that the roots of the trees are established below the ground but not actively growing (dormant) between November and March. As bare roots are stored without any soil or pot, they will easily settle themselves when in contact with soil in your garden. Don't worry if your tree is not showing any sign of growth above the ground come April, as it's still in the dormant phase and will soon explode into life.
